| Description: | Under the direction of the Youth Services Manager, performers provide entertainment to small or large groups of infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents. The position is in the Children's Division of the Library. |
| Duties: | Will perform in front of groups using a head microphone. Audiences range from twenty five to one hundred fifty people. |
| Qualifications: | Must be able to entertain the audience by singing songs, reading or telling short stories, verse, performing dramatic presentations which may include wearing costumes, dancing, using puppets and other ad-lib performances.
Must have a dynamic and fun personality. Must be creative.
Spanish speaking and baby sign language a plus.
Must have high school diploma.
Previous performance experience and/or experience working with younger children (ages infant to two years) is desirable. |
